Beef Tips with Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef Sirloin Steak(cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion(diced)
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic(4 cloves)
  • ½ tsp Dried Thyme
  • ½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Low-Sodium Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch

Directions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef sirloin tips and sear until browned on all sides, about 5-10 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion for 5 minutes then add minced garlic until fragrant about 1 minute. Then add thyme and ground black pepper.
  3. Next place in a bowl beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch and whisk tougher. Then add the mixture to the skillet, scraping and incorporating any browned bits from the pan. Bring to a simmer and stir until thickened.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet and let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
  5. Serve over hot rice or mashed potatoes.
